International Women's Day

International Women's Day was begun largely by striking women laborers in the garment and textile industries in the U.S. and Russia. We explore this history, then turn to the anti-sweatshop group that made significant changes to the University of Iowa's trademark licensing policy in 2000, and ask Senior VP Warren Madden about the ISU policy. Finally, we speak with the Worker Rights Consortium, the independent monitor of factories producing collegiate apparel.

Host Greta Anderson.
