Listen to a discussion about wildlife artists Jay N. Darling and Maynard Reece. In 1934, Darling lobbied Congress to create a federal duck stamp. He then drew the iconic image for the first stamp. Iowan Maynard Reece was mentored by Darling and went on to create five duck stamps – more than any other artist. The exhibition brings the artwork of the father of the duck stamp, Darling, and the king, Reece together for the first time. Both gentlemen fostered conservation into all their works.
