Susan Franzen spoke with Susan Lassila about how she started the original Iowa House (1994-2002) to provide lodging primarily for guests brought to Iowa State University during those years. Del Christianson followed with the story of IRIS, Iowa Resource for International Service (IRIS) , which continues the support of citizen ambassadors welcoming visitors from around the world. Greta Anderson introduced a new Local Talk feature, "Tuning in to Agriculture" with an interview about cover crops with Sarah Carlson from Practical Farmers of Iowa.
