ARES Receives Governor's Volunteer Service Award

Clint Miller, coordinator of Story County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), describes the pivotal public safety that "ham radio" operators perform on Story County. On June 19th, Governor Kim Reynolds presented the Story County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) with the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. This award is given out to recognize volunteer talents and to support Iowa’s nonprofits, charitable organizations, and government entities.
