Porch Stories
KHOI and Karan Benton invites folks to sign-up for its January Storytelling Event – PORCH STORIES, to be held January 21 at The Pantorium, 410 Douglas Avenue, in Ames. After a fascinating December offering of stories, we are eager hear more true adventures from folks like you.
Pandemonium at the Pantorium
The Poison Control Center (Record release show!) - The PCC has been at the forefront of Iowa rock for the past decade, influencing countless Iowa bands with their ecstatic style and energetic live shows. For this special concert, they will be releasing a vinyl record of a previously unreleased rock opera they recorded in 1999, in their first year as a band. This will be a show for the ages.
Christopher the Conquered - A soul band with a charismatic, piano-tickling frontman and a big, brassy horn section.
Poison Control Center Rocks the Pantorium
If the Ames Pantorium building had any doubts left over, as to whether it still was a dry-cleaner, it now knows that it is no longer. It was notified on January 7 that it is a cultural venue and community center - and the steam on the windows now is not made by steam machines but by dancing people.
Poison Control Center, Christopher the Conqueror, and Kate Kennedy completely rocked the house and re-arranged the energy during Pandemonium at the Pantorium concert, one of KHOI's two monthly signature events.
