Students of Iowa State University are awarded their degrees during a public ceremony in Hilton Collesium. According to Iowa State University News Service, an estimated 1,708 students are set to receive their degrees.

Story County Conservation holds its fifth annual Trek the Trails race. Participants run four miles through McFarland Park, which can be found at 56461 180th Street, just beyond Ames. Call Carol Williams at 515-232-2516 or visit storycountyiowa.gov for more information.

The City of Ames celebrates the installation of new sculptures and landscape features. The celebration takes place at the intersection of Southeast 16th Street and South Dayton Place.
