KHOI Donate a Vehicle Program

May 26, 2013 - 2:07pm -- Debbie

KHOI wants your old vehicles!  Car, tractor, atv, recreational vehicle - if it's got an engine, running or not - donate it to KHOI and receive a tax deduction along with the continuation and further development of programs you want to hear on 89.1 FM.

How does it work?  Just call the station at 515-292-2878 and we'll get the process started.  We send a tow truck out to your location - you don't have to do a thing, except make the call and sign over the title to the vehicle.

If possible, the vehicle will be repaired and sold at auction.  If it can't be fixed, the vehicle will be sold for scrap.  Either way, any amount over $500 and you receive a tax deductible receipt.  It's a win-win for you and KHOI!

The Donate-a-vehicle program has proven an invaluable source of funds for other community radio station operating budgets and KHOI is hoping for similar success.  KHOI's main focus to this point has been to get the station up-and-running, build a volunteer base and develop programming.  While the building of broadcast and recording studios in the Pantorium has taken precedence of late, the day-to-day costs of running the station must be met.  Proceeds from the vehicle donation program will go toward funding operating expenses.

To find out more about how you can participate in the vehicle donation program visit our 'Frequently Asked Questions About Donating Your Vehicle Page' and then give KHOI a call to get the ball rolling.
