Co hosts Paul Wierson and Susan Franzen spoke with Bill Sherman who heads the Country Schools Project for Preservation Iowa that helps people interested in restoring surviving one or two room school houses. Then Barb McDougall described the specifics of restoring Cole School near Boone, which began as an initiative of the DeScholn Daughters of the American Revolution, and has become a real community educational project. Then we heard about the experience of attending one room schools from Bob Jensen, Sam Wormley , and Larry Koehrsen. Finally, we got a preview from Mark Andrew, the director of “Almost, Maine,” Webster City Community Theatre’s production opening this weekend.
