The program features segments about various disadvantaged groups, starting with an interview with the statewide administrator of the Lions Club of Iowa, Tim Wilson. Tim talks about Opening Eyes Program which provides eye care and eyeglasses for participants in the Special Olympics. He also talks about other services the Lions will be providing over the summer. Then we also feature an interview with two sisters who've been in foster care, and hear about the Working Families Summit that recently took place in Ames. Finally we hear from Kelly Diekmann, the Ames Director of Planning and Housing, about the forthcoming construction of a low-income housing complex on 6th Street in downtown Ames.
