Kay Jackson Berger grew up with three sisters and two brothers on a 10 acre farm on the edge of town in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has been married to Roger for 52 years. She has two married children and eight grandchildren. Kay and Roger have lived in Ames almost 40 years, for the first 30 years next to Hallett Gravel Pit which is now Ada Hayden Heritage Park. Kay has worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker for about 16 years at Mary Greeley Medical Center and McFarland Clinic.
