The KHOI interns took on the task of hosting today's Local Talk for the first time, sharing stories that relate to their daily lives as Iowa State students.
Zach Neuendorf took on the task of transportation, and spoke to Julie Schlosser, manager of the Ames taxi service Cyclone Cab.
Dalton Gackle went out to the Ames Main Street Farmers Market farmers market and spoke with Carlos, of Carlos' Quesadillas food truck, Herbert Dardano, the owner of Macubana food truck, and Ames Assistant City Manager Brian Phillips.
Isaac Biehl focused on things to do in Ames, by diving into the growing live music scene here in Ames. Featuring a spotlight on the Roosevelt Summer Sundays thanks to Stacey Ross, the chair of Friends of Roosevelt Park and gave some insight into upcoming events with help from Cindy Hicks, the executive director of the Main Street Cultural District.
