Robert Lindemeyer
November 19, 2011

Robert Lindemeyer probably started his career in 1953 when he received a first place award in radio speaking from the Iowa High School Speech Association.   Later, as a film and television major at Iowa State University, he worked at WOI Radio as the host of the program "Today's Music".  Following service as a U.S. Navy Photographic Officer, and working as an industrial film maker, Robert returned to Iowa State for a thirty year career as an educational film and television producer. This included serving as the "Voice" of the Cyclone Marching Band.   Robert’s wife, Nancy, is the founding editor of Victoria Magazine and the author of "My First Best Friend".  Their son Paul is a jazz musician and author of the book, Celebrating the Saxophone.  Robert is President of the Stanton Memorial Carillon Foundation and is writing a history of the Bells of Iowa State.

This is his story . . .
