Leanne Harter led off with her monthly Story County Report, focusing on Veteran Suicide Prevention. Updating Roland Story Returning to Learn, Superintendent Matt Patton described the safety education for students, parents and their communities. In the second half of the program we had three different perspectives on Black Voter Day, Rev. Rob Johnson is heading a voter tour to register voters led by No Justice No Peace in cities all over Iowa. A leader of Black Lives Matter in Boone and ISU graduate student, A'ja Lyons, gave us her perspective on the importance of that movement in inspiring voters. And finally, Betty Andrews, President of the Iowa Nebraska NAACP gave us a run-down of how and why we can tune in to the first VIRTUAL NAACP Convention.
