As part of our Spring Fund-raising we, (Mike MeetzMike Murphy, and Pat Schlarbaum) asked our listeners to become supporters and donate to KHOI.

We broadcast shared impressions, memories, and excerpts of this past Sunday’s concert featuring music selections performed by Chad Elliot and Bo Ramsey, the keynote event kicking-off our spring fund drive.

Erica Place, Outreach Coordinator for Story County Conservation reviewed a variety of outdoor events and activities planned for the coming month.  We also visited about their photography competition, and described the program scheduled in October entitled “Wild Women of the Woods”.

Susan Qwiasda, City of Ames Public Relations Officer and Keith Abraham, Director of Ames Parks and Recreation.  Keith reviewed events and projects happening in the park system including,

Homewood Golf Course Clubhouse ribbon-cutting at noon on Monday, May 10th How did that go yesterday?

Emma McCarthy Lee Pedestrian Bridge ribbon cutting on May 19, Mayor’s Bike Ride, Furman Aquatic Center opening over Memorial Day weekend, and more!

Anna, Magnusson, KHOI’s Top Good News Banana is not with us today but is sharing her Heart 2Heart messages during our spring fund raising appearing in other programs beside her own this evening.
