Local Talk for Friday, May 28 included a discussion concerning a 11,600 head cattle feedlot for Supreme Beef in head waters of Bloody Run trout stream. Larry Stone, Clayton County conservationist discussed the permit process. Jess Mazour with Sierra Club included an appeal to contact the Director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Ms. Kayla Lyon, to rescind permit to Supreme Beef.
Kellee Omlid, Recreation Superintendent with the City of Ames discussed the opening of Furnam Pool Saturday, May 29. Also Kellee told listeners of other activities to sign up for this summer on the City of Ames website on their Parks and Recreation site. Pickle Ball and Outdoor Yoga classes were featured.
