Diversity: Then and Now

Leanne Harter, Story County Director of Outreach brought us her monthly Story County Report with comments from Paul Wierson

Considering the controversy locally and in the Iowa Legislature over  "divisive concepts"  Reggie Greenlaw, retired Ames High School teacher and member of the Unity/Diversity planning committee in 1995, gave us a historical and musical perspective regarding how we have dealt with "divisive issues" in the past.

KHOI political reporter Laura Belin, led us through the likely outcomes of the "Divisive Concepts Bill,"  (HF 802) just signed by Governor Reynolds on Tuesday evening.

Doug Gentile invited our listeners to a community fundraiser for KHOI to be held by Tom (Florek) and Doug (Gentile) on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Dog Eared Books on Main Street.  As enticement he sang a couple of original songs, "Song to Save the World," and "Community Radio."
