KHOI’s Sam Wormley discuss the James Webb Telescope and the progress being made to getting it operational. It is on schedule to begin collecting and transmitting Data in June 2021. 

Story County Conservation Naturalist and Environmental Educator; Beth Waage provides listeners with a monthly update on numerous events and opportunities offered through the county parks system.   As spring gets into full spring a nuber of activities are available for the public to experience our local  natural environment.

Susan Gwiasda Public Information Officer for the City of Ames highlights the oportunity for the public to get a look at the fire house “push” at south Ames station #3;the newest piece of fire equipment (tower) designed to increase the ability to provide rescue aid to citizens in structural emergencies.  

Housing Coordinator Vanessa Baker-Latimer along with Central Iowa Board of Realitors spokesperson, Jason Miller and Iowa Able’s Lynette Plander discuss Fair Housing Month, and remind listeners of the upcoming recognition award (April 26th) of a worthy individual/organization and efforts made to secure quality and equitable housing.  21st of April Vanessa will facilitate a HUD workshop as well as information on (Community Development Block Grants) CDBG funding public forums.
