LOCAL TALK 25 April 2022

Local Talk for Monday, April 25, 2022 started with a news summary from throughout Iowa by Dennis Hart. 

Dr. Tom Rossburg, Professor from Drake University talked about prairie ecology, roadside prairie plantings and prairie walks he does at Doolittle Prairie each Thursday throughout the summer. 

Time to Roll café owners Payne and Payton Roberts talked about their nostalgic business in North Grand Mall that features burritos and rolled ice cream.

Kathy Svec, Ames History Museum, talked about a lecture series upcoming.  Also she shared stories about the Railcar that was first public transportation in Iowa and the Midwest between Iowa State College and two miles into Ames.  She also focused on a Martin Student Housing in Ames made available to black college students.
