KHOI’s Sam Wormley and Mike Meetz Discuss Seasonal Change and explain the astronomical  phenomenon that causes it.

Story County Conservation Outreach and Communications Coordinator; Casey Struecker updates us on the fall activities planned/scheduled for the county parks and natural areas,  including volunteer needs for prairie seed harvesting and what to expect for this fall’s leaf color and where some of the county areas are best for viewing.

Susan Gwiasda Public Information Officer for the City of Ames will update us on Tuesday’s City Council meeting ribbon cutting and discusses the return of EcoFair just a few weeks away on Saturday, Oct. 1, in the City Hall west parking lot.  We also review the progress of the future gathering area being constucted East of City Hall and are given an update on the ribbon cutting and official opening of the new small craft launch for the physically challenged installed at Ada Hayden Heritage Park.

Del Christianson reviews the Iris Peace Walk that will be held Sunday September 18th When and where it will start and how long is the route. 7:57 (Mike)
