Elliot Thompson is from Ames and a graduate of Gilbert High School. Elliot has been associated with KHOI Community Radio for about three years. He is currently serving on the KHOI Board as well as carrying the title musical director which entails deciding on what types of musical shows and DJ's are put on air.
Thompson said he played the piano when he was young but is more interested now in
different world music, jazz, or maybe some funk and focuses on electronic music. Elliot's musical interests are reflected in his own radio show, “Contours”, on Thursday evenings from 10 to 12 p.m. He describes his tagline as mapping musical terrains which relates to produce he grows on his organic farm. Elliot will be busy working on the farm this summer and selling at the farmers' markets as well as supplying HyVee and Wheatsville.
