Jon Hunstock was born in Cherokee, Iowa and grew up in Early, Iowa. He received his English degree from St. John’s University in Minnesota and spent three years in the Navy.  He settled in Minnesota for a time.  He married Audrey in 1972 and has two children and two grandchildren.
