"The Power of Student Ambassadors in Promoting Global Acceptance and Understanding" by Elizabeth Beck (Afternoon Broadcast)

 

For 27 years, Elizabeth Beck worked extensively with honors students at Iowa State University. Since her retirement in 2004, she has worked in nonprofit management with human services and educational agencies. She has worked in Scotland and Italy and traveled to five continents and 15 countries.  Her next scheduled trip is to Mongolia in 2013.

"A Path to Unity through Neighborhoods" by Jeff Benson (Evening Rebroadcast)

Benson grew up in Ames and has raised a family in Ames. He has lived and worked in 11 different neighborhoods. As a landscape architect and planner for over 30 years, Jeff has helped improve projects, neighborhoods and communities all over Iowa. Jeff is currently a planner and neighborhood liaison with the City of Ames.
