Our first guest is Sandra Looft, founder of Ames Kidical Mass, which gathers once a month for family-friendly bike rides (April 26). 8-Year Goal of Community Radio Station Achieved

Supporters of KHOI Community Radio will celebrate the completion of a new suite of broadcast studios in downtown Ames next week.

The non-profit station has been operating with improvised broadcast facilities at the historic Pantorium Building at 410 Douglas Ave. since it went on the air in August 2012.

Construction of the three-studio complex has been underway for the past four months, with work done almost entirely by volunteers.

In the wake of the "official" cancellation of VEISHEA but ongoing "unofficial" (alcohol-related) estivities, we bring in three ISU students who organized an impromptu parade and picnic in the true spirit of the event.

Later in the hour, Greenlee School professor Mark Witherspoon joins us to discuss First Amendment Days.
