Nicci Port from the ISU Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Joel Hocjstein, Chair of Ames Pride discuss the founding of Ames Pride, a brand-new community-based organization for community-building among LGBTQA+ people, educating the community on issues affecting LGBTQA+ people, and for facilitating an environment that values the intersectional identities of all people living in and around the City of Ames, IA.
Merry Rankin, Director of Sustainability at ISU and the City of Ames, together with Lia Gomez, Sustainability Director for Iowa State University’s Student Government, announce the creation of a new fund created by Student Government: The Green Initiatives Fund, to allow student organizations to have a dedicated funding source related to increasing and enhancing sustainability events, initiatives and projects at ISU.
