This program features the great birds of Iowa: raptors. The wild young falcon was raised under the dome of the capital but ended up needing assistance from the DNR and Capital maintenance staff.

Schlarbaum also reports on the current project to re-introduce Ospreys to Iowa. The ospreys are taken from the wild in Minnesota with the help of ELite Power Company, whose poles are the nesting site of choice for ospreys.
