One Voice, One Community (Forum on Homelessness & Hunger)

The Story County Housing Board and the City of Ames Housing Division invite you to attend a forum at Bethesda  Lutheran Church on 1517 Northwestern Ave. Its two themes, according to a press release by City of Ames public relations officer Susan Gwiasda, are “Fighting Hidden Hunger A Year Later” and “Lessons Learned…Homelessness Solutions.” Tony Timm, executive director of the Central Iowa Shelter & Services in Des Moines, delivers the keynote address.

Snow Magic (Presented by the Main Street Cultural District)

You may also visit Santa Claus, watch a tree being lit up, or listen to live music. If you want to submit a gingerbread house to be judged, you may enter it in a competition that will occur during the kickoff.
