Local Talk for Christmas Eve December 24 2021. After Dennis Hart's news summary from the pages of the Ames Tribune, Local Talk turned to music from local musicians that filled the hour with their "Gifts to the Airwaves" this Holiday Season. Artists included Steve Veysey, Rosemary Griffin, Larry Stoltenberg of Redz Band, Mother Dugan's, Eric Timmons, Tom Russell and the Rockets of Desire, and Reggie Greenslaw. The KHOI Community is certainly blessed with this fine group of musicians. Peace on Earth and good will to all!
People from Ames Communities took us to four countries on three continents to describe Christmas celebrations there. Sandra Unguec told us about South Sudan. Karen Stein Corrales spoke nostalgically about Christmas in Nicaragua (and among immigrants in the US). And Gina McAndrews described her Christmases in Australia and Oaxaca. We heard music from all as we shared celebrations around the world.
