Flood Mitigation Meeting

City of Ames officials listen to citizens concerns about flooding, as well as considering flood-preparedness measures they propose. All members of the public are invited to listen and be heard. This event occurs in Room 4 of the Scheman Building, which is on the grounds of the Iowa State Center.

Heartland Senior Services Dance

Heartland Senior Services will have its monthly dance on Monday, Oct. 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. That dance will be in the Moose Family Center on 664 West 190th Street in Ames.

Conversations on Relationships

Members of the art faculty at Iowa State discuss the ways that art relates to other disciplines. Participants in this discussion will include Cindy Gould, Jennifer Drinkwater, Brent Holland, Barbara Morgan and Emily Walton. This discussion will be held in the Brunnier Art Museum, located in the Iowa State Center's Scheman Building.

Run for the Roses 10K

The sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi host an annual race to benefit the National Arthritis Foundation. The race begins on the grounds of Ames Middle School at 3915 Mortensen Road. The 10-kilometer race will begin after the associated 5-kilometer race.
